Dolors Simó Consola is a painter from Barcelona, specialised in the study of human behavior. She studied mural painting in La Llotja Design School in Barcelona and she is a trencadís mosaic expert: www.mosaicdetrencadis.com

Simó comes from a family of Jewish origin, this is one of the reasons why she has been working for three years in the pictorial collection called The Shoah and the Nazi Holocaust, which contains more than 1200 works of different sizes. It is a new approach to the subject that has brought her recognition from several educational entities (e.g. Government of Catalonia, Education Department, Global SDG Projects).

Radio Sefarad interviewed Simó to talk about The Shoah and the Nazi Holocaust: www.radiosefarad.com/la-pintora-dolors-simo-ante-el-holocausto

Nowadays Simó is working on Jewish art which is a pictorial collection about the Jewish culture, the loved and traditional festivities concerning Jewish values and beliefs. The artworks are colorful and rich in creativity. Handmade ceramics and daily objects used provide her work an aesthetic appeal with the added value of its philosophical content thanks to the human element.

Simó is a member of ARCCI, an association of cultural relations between Catalonia and Israel, from which several pedagogical activities and exhibitions are being carried out.
